[quote:12m2ga6p]Super Swing Golf makes use of a wide range of functions in the Wii remote's capacity, utilizing the pointer aspect for choosing play modes and right/left-handed play, various planes of motion for managing your view of the golf course, and [b:12m2ga6p]full 3D motion sensing for actually swinging your golf club[/b:12m2ga6p].[/quote:12m2ga6p][quote:12m2ga6p]The system used in simulating a golf swing in this Wii title is unique so far for the system in that it's not 100% a natural golf motion simulation -- instead, [b:12m2ga6p]it's a combination of more traditional golf game power meters and the modern motion effects[/b:12m2ga6p] of games like Tiger Woods PGA Tour or Wii Sports: Golf. Once you've set your view, you [b:12m2ga6p]tap the A button to begin a swing[/b:12m2ga6p]. Pulling back for the backswing, [b:12m2ga6p]the meter measures how far you have drawn[/b:12m2ga6p], as natural as any golf swing. From there, however, you don't necessarily follow through with the swing -- instead, [b:12m2ga6p]you tap the A button to lock in your power meter on the meter[/b:12m2ga6p]. From there, you can hold the A button down and completely follow through with your stroke if you wish, but if you need to readjust your body, [b:12m2ga6p]the meter is actually locked in and you can even lower your arms back to center or raise yourself up higher if need be[/b:12m2ga6p].[/quote:12m2ga6p][quote:12m2ga6p]The simulation of the swing is also an interesting aspect of this game. Although the power meter and overall structure of the swing is more Hot Shots than Tiger Woods, [b:12m2ga6p]your final shot really does use the Wii for a swing as only this system can[/b:12m2ga6p]. Swinging the Wii remote through 3D space, [b:12m2ga6p]the game measures your speed and angle of stroke[/b:12m2ga6p]. It's a much more simplified and easy-to-play system than more realistic golf sims might eventually display on the system -- you can't "miss the ball" with an off-target swing, and [b:12m2ga6p]the majority of your swing power comes from the power meter[/b:12m2ga6p] rather than your actual swing and follow-through -- but it does include true aspects of a golf swing. [b:12m2ga6p]Curve your swing out and away too much, and your shot will slice[/b:12m2ga6p], for example. A perfect swing will earn you a "Nice Shot" and some extra yardage on your ball.[/quote:12m2ga6p]
